- My name is Neels van Niekerk, born South African (Gauteng mostly), currently living in Douala Cameroon, passionate about adventure biking and finally in a position to start living my biking dream. With less family commitments, (kids grown, no wife or garden or household chores to look after) I can finally start to live my lifelong dream of spending as much time as possible on 2 wheels. Unfortunately I dont have the possibility to have a bike up here in Cameroon (for the moment) but exploit every second on my dream bike when I get back home for business/holiday trips. For the past year I have been following the articles and interesting chats on your website and would like to have some part of your spirited discussions and learn from your gurus.
I bought my 2008 R1200GSA on 20 April 2008 and have done 6000+ sublime kms on her during about 4 weeks of stay in our wonderful country. I have done the Country Trax weekend course with Jan and his team and feel ready to tackle all of the glorious corners of our beautiful heartland.
I would really aprreciate the opportunity to benefit from the guidance and experience from you guys that have been living this dream for much longer than me.
