This is a trip for the less experienced of us, we all had to start somewhere and this trip will give you the opportunity to start well ahead of the class. You will learn from the more practised riders around you and avoid the mistakes so easily made! Leaving from Nelson’s Wine Estate!

Friday 22 January till Sunday 24th

Day 1
Wellington to Biedouw valley. A drive through the Swartland to the Sandvelt potato area will bring us to our lunch stop! After lunch we make a brief tour through the Namakwaland and work our way to the lush grasslands in the Biedouw valley where we will camp and have a “Rough and Ready” dinner! The days stories will be told around the campfire!

Distance for the day 300 km

Day 2
After breakfast we leave the camp and luggage behind and travel the area in search for good photographic opportunities and travel the east area of the Namakwaland, after lunch a return to the Sandveld will see us back at camp. At the camp fire the fictitious and real days drama can be told, the famous fillet will be served as the night creeps in!

Distance for the day 280 km

Day 3
Going home time! Back to Clanwilliam and following the dam we arrive in Citrusdal and eventually Ceres. Going through one of the Bains brothers wonders we arrive back in Wellington wher our customary farewell drink is served at the “Deck”.

Distance for the day 250 km
