After all the weekends with bad weather, I think we should take advantage of the brilliant weather expected this weekend, so the first “meet and ride” breakfast run will take place this Sunday, 16 September. Remember, the idea is as follows:

• If you want to ride, you will rendezvous at the usual spot in Plattekloof at the Engen Wimpy at 07H30 on Sunday for a 08H15 departure.
• The details of the chosen restaurant will be left in an envelope at the rendezvous.
• The envelope will contain all the contact details of the restaurant that has been booked etc.
• We have included a suggested route that will get the group to the restaurant in time.
• At the departure time, someone must phone or SMS the number of people through to the restaurant.
  When riding, the usual BMW MCC ride etiquette will obviously be applied.
• After breakfast, as is the norm, everyone will either travel on together or not.

For this first attempt, I will be going with to show folks how the idea is supposed to work. This is by no means replacing ride captains, but just another way we are trying to have more rides available to all.
