Intro is on just what your GPS receiver actually is and how it does it,

The importance of open skies,

What WAAS is,

How to plot a route and how to work with Waypoints to get the most out of your GPS Receiver unit.

We will use live onscreen demonstrations projected on the big screen to go step by step through the GPS operations and demystify this wonderful intuitive tool once and for all.

If you have a laptop, USB data cable and your own GPS, bring all these with you together with your own power lead & you can follow along as THE VERY BESTEST OPTION.

If you have a GPS bring it along, and follow each step.

If you have no GPS you'll still learn loads of interesting practical stuff about these gadgets. And you can play on a Zumo 660.

This is a club initiative and no marketing of units will be done.

Do not worry about the make and model of your GPS, bring it with you.

If you have a flash drive bring it along and save the tutorial file

No long technical stuff, just a brief intro on how your receiver receives signals so you understand why open skies are important to reception.
