Archive of BMW Motorrad Club Cape (2006 - 2019)

A Highlight on the Cancervive calendar is their annual motorcycle ride across SA.  This year the trip sees 60 survivors, supporter, entertainers travelling a distance of about 2300 kms.  The trip aims to educate and create awareness of the "shy" cancers - breast, prostate, cervical, testical, etc. Early detection and appropriate treatment is key to survival.

Cancervive is a non-profit organization that administers and directs the activities of all aspects of the project.  Cancervive is volunteer based, they direct 100% of donated funds to local cancer survivorship programmes at Wellspring.

On Friday, 13/09/2013, the group will visit the Overberg area and stay over in Struisbaai.  They will be leaving Struisbaai on Saturday morning for their final ride to Somerset West, where the tour ends. 

So, it is my idea to do the final stage with them and hoping to find a few fellow supporters to join. This will be obviously a ride on tar, very relaxed and scenic. We will meet with the group close to Botrivier, join the ride via Kleinmond, Bettiesbaai, Rooiels, Strand to Somerset Mall.

There will be no official breakfast/lunch en-route.  Have a breakfast at the Wimpy or at home. Take along some nibbles as we will be stopping along the way.  

This is a charity run.  Donate a R100 and receive a buff and pin. This is for a good course, please support!!! Have cash in the correct amounts ready when we meet with their group.
