Archive of BMW Motorrad Club Cape (2006 - 2019)

We recently conducted a trip (as per the initial invitation on the forum) to the Great Karoo. It was to be a reconnaisance trip for future rides. Apart from the initial detour through Gamkaskloof and Baviaanskloof, our aim was to focus mainly on a very specific area of the central Great Karoo. Our purpose was to ride as many backroads and private tracks & trails as possible, to explore biking opportunities in the area, discover some of the hidden secrets and meet real Karoo people and their hospitality. So, we did just that and after a wonderful 9 days it was agreed that this should be an annual event with more frequent trips to this area if possible. At the first public showing of the 1-hour long trip DVD enough interest was shown to fill the next trip. Although it was intended to keep this a BMW only event, we have received a few invitations to show amongst others at the next monthly meeting of Nomads MC as well as other interested groups.
