I’ve recently acquired an F800 to start dual sport / adventure riding. For safety reasons I would like to join the club and book an introductory riding course. I would also like to meet like-minded individuals.
My Name is Kobus been on the GS for the last couple of months - have no off road experience and looking forward to gain that experience soon.
Will update as we go along
Hallo all - Pannas here - long time rider, first time BMW owner. Looking forward to meeting most of you and learning all sorts of nifty stuff about the brand.
Cheers.
Hi
I started biking at the age of 12 on a AJS 500 that my Dad bought to run around on the farm (1970). At Varsity I bought a XT500 and used that for a number of years, as well as a clapped out Suzuki RM250 with which I fooled around in the dirt and mud. Then I married my better half and sold the bikes. About 5 years ago I got totally fed up with Cape Town traffic and I bought a 1998 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 - a 95th Anniversary Edition. I then bought a 1941 Harley Davidson WL and restored the bike to its original WW2 condition (as used by the SAUDF in East Africa, Madagascar and North Africa). And when the Sportster's clutch packed up, I splurged and bought a new F800GS. What a magnificent bike!
Newbie to Dual Sport biking, used to ride on Tarmac.
Adventuristic and enjoy nature's gift to our eyes.
Looking to expand my offroad ability before planning a trip to somewhere in Africa.
I am new to the world of motorbikes. Did ride when I was a lot younger but due to a "midlife crisis" - my excuse for buying one a again, I am back in the saddle!
I started with quads , then cruisers and now adventure riding. I am 68 years old and still very active.
