My wife and I only moved to the Western Cape 6 weeks  ago. We originate from England but lived in Austria for the last 8 years. I started riding about 35 years ago and after a very long break, started again about 4 years ago to enjoy the fantastic mountain roads in Austria. 

I had never ridden a BMW before arriving here but I am very impressed with the 1200GS and look forward to exploring the Western Cape ( and perhaps beyond) and meeting new friends.

I am currently still awaiting my Traffic Register Number ( a very slow process it seems) but hope to be ‘on the road’ soon.

I'm from Paarl,riding bike since I was 17 years old but avtive for the past 10 years.I owned an 2010 model GS1200 for the last 6 months,before that I was riding a Suzuki Boulevard 1800.I enjoy social rides,rally's,breakfast runs and weekends away.My wife also owned a harley davidson but most of the time,she is riding with me.My real name is: Jannie Engelbrecht. My name is Darryl and i stay in Darling in the western cape married with 2 boys i use my bike to comute mainly but want to get to off road i work in phillipi at bac and have always been a biker not always had a bike but a biker at heart.

Hi I'm Piet Steyn. Tamboerskloof Cape Town Been riding my GS for 1 year. Previously rode a K100 purchased from Dan Lombard (Yep that oke)I have a problem I'm sure a member can solve. Myself a a couple of friends are doing a trip to Tanzania during April and May. My bike is financed with BMW finance and insured with Alexander Forbes. I can get permission from BMW finance to visit all the countries on route but not Tanzania. This is because Alexander Forbes doesn't cover that country. Surely someone know how to solve this for me?
