Nelsons Creeck 2009 Charity Shopping Spree. Well for us its not really a big deal, but for the 26 children that are a part of the Nelsons Creek farming comunity famalies, its a "BIG DEAL". Thanks to the Nelsons for allowing us the use of their farm and for giving us this oportunity. The BMW club Cape members donated so generously that these kids were blessed. "No!" "HUGELY BLESSED", by the shopping experience at PEP stores in Paarl by the generocity of the BMW club of CT. What an experience to share this time with these lovely folk. They were all so well behaved. Surprisingly enough they first went to buy under ware. I'm sure this was a privilage and not a norm? The Chosen One, PEP.The Chosen One, PEP. The exerice took the following format. 1. Meeting at the farm 2. Driving there 3. The arrival and the big shopping center in Paarl 4. The instructions and getting your shopping basket. Getting your own shopping basket, WOW! I can relate as I only owned my first set of real shoes when I was in St 6.Getting your own shopping basket, WOW! Under ware seemed to be their number one priorityUnder ware seemed to be their number one priority 6. Waiting to go through the teller and getting the wrapped parcel with MY NAME on it. How cool is that? Strict instuctions NOT to open your parcel until you get home. You can imagine? This caused major probs in the past. I don't have the hart to tell them the club will not be involved. When I was calculating for the kids to see if they had spent more or less the right amount I told them that all the memebers of the club had made it possible for this outing. They were very appreciative. Congratulation once again to Dave for his inititive BUT mostly to the members of the BMW club for their generosity. Great inititive Dave, but without a great club to support you, your inititive would be worthless. May we ALL learn from this!Great inititive Dave, but without a great club to support you, your inititive would be worthless. May we ALL learn from this! But MOST of all I want to thank my family for joining me on this wonderful experience. Thanks guys.XXXX KEEPING ROCKING CLUB, YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!1

Thanks Russ for the Report and the trouble it took to post... We must have missed the invite. Whilst I disagree with the fundamentals of this fund raising, I am never the less glad you guys had a successful trip. What was the final amount raised and how was it distributed? Also glad you and Rob came home safe from your crazy scramble on the 450 & KTM around the Farm yesterday. It was a stunning weekend for riding, I could not stay off the Bike. Good luck with the Building, we will be thinking of you when we leave for Sutherland on Wednesday. Warm Regards Wayne (took this on saturday) WaterfallWaterfall

Whilst agreeing with Wayne it does make me proud to be associated with such a fine group of people. I know that all contributions so freely given was well spent. Tx to Dave for organising & Russ & Family for assisting. Ignore opinions, heed facts. Bum in the saddle.

Yes indeed, thank you to the Nelsons BUT ALSO thank you to everyone that so generously donated and contributed, no matter the size of the donation. Without your assistance this day would not have taken place. Thank you to all for making this day so special for these kids, they need all the help they can get, having been on this shopping day before really makes one realise how fortunate we are and what we need to thank the Lord for when we get on our knees every night. Thank you Dave for your effort. Johan de Jager "It's all about the ride, nothing else"
