After 800kms to PE we slept at the Town Lodge. It was the last we saw any rain and had the best riding weather anyone could wish for. Fantastic Rusty. Glad everyone had a good time and that you all got home safely. It really is special when you can share the adventure with your loved one. Cheers Lawrence Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safetly in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadsides, loudly proclaiming WOW, What a RIDE!

Excellent report with awesome photos. Those photos bring back many memorable moments. Thanks Rusty, You n Gisi really had some running around to do doing the filming. When bikes went down or a techn ical obstacle interrupted travel I thought there were two of you. Poor Gisi was running around to get a good angle and then had to bound back aboard as we all pulled off again. Thanks for the report n photos Andyman Yup that's me. Great report. Looks like you guys had an awesome time.
There are so many problems in this world. Luckily there's a wristband available for almost all of them.

Great report. I prefer your pictorial version. Every photo speaks of adventure, excitement and good fun. So, being new to this forum, how much does such a trip cost and do you guys have this event every year?

Hi Dino & welcome. We did the trip twice last year and now this one. The cost for 12 days & 11 nights DB&B was R6k per person including a back up vehicle and 3 bike trailer. It is not scheduled for next year as we are going to Namibia, however who knows what can happen between now and then. This trip is hugely more exciting than Namibia which is by and large all dirt road riding. Geoff Off Road Events coordinator

Anyway, had to start somewhere>...'' No way Rusty!!! One picture with a short caption is worth thousand words.
