Cape to Katse

So,.... I've missed the club tour to Lesotho in 2015, which was very disappointing. Read all the FB updates as the guys enjoyed themselves "over there" while I was sitting at home. So Heidi & I decided to take some time off and do our own Sani pass tour.

Geoff was kind enough to assist with route planning and gave all the advice the rookie needed. And, I took all of it, except for planning the last day, hence we arrived in CT around 5pm in peak traffic, while its raining. I then remembered his last Whatsapp message.....plan to arrive at your destination no later than 3pm, just in case, and more importantly, keep an eye on the weather! Thx Geoff

This is a trip report of our experiences during the past three weeks. A few anxious moments getting lost with the compliments of T4A, but after all, a life changing event. Perhaps so, because we did it together, only the two of us. We've recorded the trip as a blog entry on Travel Pod which may be viewed on the link below. We trust you'll enjoy it! We certainly did!

Wow, you have had a really great trip Philip, well done and thank you for sharing!

It took a bit of effort to get to see both the excellent photos and your commentary but I enjoyed every one of them once I got the hang of it.

I like your approach to accommodation. It seems the backpackers option - with the unfortunate exception of Woody Cape sad - has improved radically over the last few years.

Katse Blog HowTO

Step 1 - Click on the Link to the blog at the top of this thread which takes you to a page which contains the 'snippet' below.

Step 2 - Click the "READ FIRST ENTRY" button

Step 3 - Now click on the 1st (and in this case only) picture("Hout Bay") which should present a near full-screen photo as shown below.

Step xxx - Simply click through the "Next Album" link above each photo. The commentary is near the top right.

Geoff, there is no "story" like our trip reports.  Just little occasional comments about each of the photos as you go through each of them.

It becomes a click-fest of note trying to get through the report.  I think this works best if you are doing a long trip and people are following your posts day by day.
