Hi lovies
At last Charles has taken a break from the PC and I am able to write up my lovely travel adventure to Oudtshoorn on the offroad leg of the club Annual tour. Charles has been so busy he hasn't even snuck into the garage this weekend to gaze at me, though I think he has bought me a new necklace to make up for his lack of attention, and hidden it for a surprise. I think it is an X-ring, and two new sprockets to make a girl feel special again ;-)
==Day 1: Cape Town - Oudtshoorn==
Ceres: Johan's front tyre had not been seated properly, so we took it to Supaquick
Anyway, the trip started early at the Swartland Engen 1-stop, and we made our way east on dirt roads to Ceres. Then onto 'op die berg' and left onto dirt again, the long road to Matjiesfontein that I first traveled on the Sutherland trip exactly a year ago.
The wheel-fixing delayed us, so we had lunch in Laingsburg and skipped Ladismith to end up going through the seweweekspoort.
Seweweekspoort: I'd heard about it, and it was fantastic
Oops: Chris and Carol took a little low-speed tumble that involved a small rut, a stone, and a video camera
Approaching Calitzdorp
Kleinplasie: A quick check-in before we go for a...

Charles has been telling people that he read how a beer is more effective at re-hydrating a sportsman than water, due to the bubbles, alcohol and minerals in it. Scientifically proven no less. So now he has a beer after riding hard, and I must say it has improved his riding no end. After two beers he is ramping cattle grids like Freak would.
==Day 2: Die Hel and back==
