Sunday morning came and with it a lovely little bit to the air, we are in winter after all. Arriving at the departure point, it was myself and and a fellow 650GS. Looked like it was going to be a 2 horse show. However, 15min later we grew 10 bikes (12 people) in total. Having a nice display of bikes for the day, 2 Adventures, a GS, the RT's, 650GS, and a certain Mr Dunn who arrived in his burnt orange K1300S.
The ride out towards tulbagh saw us go over Du Toitskloof pass and through slanghoek towards Wolsley, where some road works made us take a slight detour back to the R46.
Arriving at the venue, we where greated by warm fire places, which promptly had a extra few pieces of wood added to them warm us up.
After some coffee and breakfast and the normal chatter of this and that and all things inbetween, it was time to leave again.
Heading back, we skipped Bainskloof, as the road is not in really good condition. Instead we headed back via Wellington and towards home.
Thanks to all who braved the cold on Sunday.
Enjoy your week further.
John
Braver than me.
I got up, looked out the window, and decided I wasn't such a BMW motorcycle fanatic, just for this day.
Hope you all had a lekker ride.
Real BMW it was. After a bit of it we got up and went to partake in the Nomads Trial in Constantia. Full report here: http://capetrials.co.za/content/nomads-trial-report-constantia-20th-may-2012
Trials is a wonderful sport - I think our lady riders would enjoy it thoroughly and benefit from the health and riding skill improvements.
Thanks for a great ride John, even though the weather was iffy.!
