Boulders Bush Pub and Restaurant

We departed a little after eight via Contemanskloof, the back of Durbanville to Wellington and on to Tulbagh. This was a very cold ride indeed with the temperature not much above nine degrees for most of the way. Judy was our host and a hot breakfast with lots of coffee and toast was enjoyed by all. Price was R45:00 per head which was good value. It was fantastic to see Chris Dunn on a ride again, thanks to all who braved the cold to join us. Was great to ride with the club again. Great crowd, excellent venue and good to catch up with everyone again. Needed to be at Morningstar airstrip for a 1230 appt so had to leave. Alvin and I took a great run via Malmesbury where we could open the bikes up and make them work. We parted company at the grain silo's and I took the Philadelphia road. 16km's of sheer high speed bliss, rounded off with a short flight on the microlight. Thanks all, great day and nice to see you again. Yup, 'twas a brilliant brekkie run, albeit a bit cold on the way. I came home via Malmesbury, and as Lawrence says, stretched the bike's legs a bit. Going through Riebeeck Kasteel I picked up an unknown 800gs with a pillion through Nuwekloof pass. Man!! what scenery!! Through Malmebury I took the back road towards Durbanville and turned off at Klpheuwel looking for some dirt. Boy, did I have fun! I must apologise to the guys that were on bicycles on the gravel... I couldn't resist those lovely red, mucky puddles. Needless to say, I spent Sunday afternoon cleaning all the little crevices on my bike..
