Wow,  we are back from the BMW Bike fest and I am pleased to report it was a great success.

Hamman Motorrad would like to thank all our customers who attended and supported us over the long weekend away,  I am sure after your great inputs, every one whom attended was aware of and now know of Hamman Motorrad.

Things started Friday morning at 07h30 at the winelands onestop for a role call and rider briefing and each of our pre confirmed customers received their Hamman Bike fest T- Shirts.  ( If you would like one they can be ordered ) After all the goodbyes was done we set of in the direction of Stellenbosch and rode over Franshoek Pass making our way to Worchester.

From Worchester we turn our noses towards Robertson and Lunch was enjoyed by all at the Full Stop Café in Swellendam.  Tummy's full we carried on towards the Picturesque Tradows Pass towards Barrydale.  Some pictures was taken at "Die Drup Kelder" and we set of further through Barrydale and joining the famous Route 62.  A quick stop at Ronnie's Sex Shop for a few cold drinks  and Oudshoorn was in our sites.

We arrived in Oudshoorn at Klein Plasie Holiday resort and was greeted by Celia at the registration tents for our T shirts and complementary bike cleaners supplied by Liqui Molly.

The Friday was very casual as the event was only scheduled to start the Saturday.

Saturday Morning we all set of on the predetermined routes as laid out by the organizers.  The whole event was based around the famous road and pass designer Thomas Bain, and did he make some breath taking road.

Saturday evening was spent with a slow race at the venue and a welcoming by the organizers.  We were all surprised and awestruck by the new K1600GTL that was revealed to the public for the first time.

After a few refreshing drinks and something to eat we all went of to bed.

Sunday morning we all went off on our respective rides and we were once again blessed with beautiful weather.  Many tar and dirt kilometers were done and the guys in Oudshoorn were loving us at petrol stations.  In total we did a combined mileage of over a 1000 000 km's.

Sunday evening was once again ended with some refreshments and a prise giving for the guys who participated in the skills challenge we were also surprised when our own Adrian Tamblyn Watts won a pair of gloves in the lucky draw.

We were also introduced to all the chair people of the BMW clubs of South Africa and Namibia.  After some braai meat and salads we were entertained by Wild Lettuce a pair of guys from Wilderness who plaid a bit of Flamenco guitar and drums.  Do yourself a favor and buy there CD.

Monday morning Started early for me and we set of Back to Cape Town,  It was quite sad to leave Oudshoorn and its beautiful roads behind but a part of me was glad we all made it home safely.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the unforgettable experience and we hope to have even more of you join us next year.

A very good "quick summary", thank you.

Nice to see Hammand Motorraad attending in numbers.
